Description: This is a rare, 1956 and 1957 Lincoln Mark II, left, outside rearview mirror. The base has been re-chromed and the threads will need to be cleaned up to screw into the head. Whenever you have something re-chromed, that have screw like threads, the chrome gets inside the groves and need to be tap or die to remove the excess chrome. There is a small hairline crack in the chrome on the base. See the last two pictures. The mirror glass is cloudy and should be replaced. The back of the mirror head has a couple of tiny, tiny dings and has not been re-chromed. When you replace the glass, the dings could be tapped out. The original chrome is still very nice.
