About The Drape:Premium drape is a heavier weight fabric than our Economy drape and has a look and feel of a linen napkin or tablecloth at a fine dining restaurant. Premium drape blocks approximately 70-80% of light**. It is regarded as a step up from Economy drape in both fabric weight and style (the finish is matte and it does not have the open weave pattern that the Economy drapes have). This Durably Flame Retardant (DFR) fabric is designed to pass the NFPA 701 fire code. **This opacity scale is an approximation under normal circumstances. A variety of factors can affect the opacity, including the amount of back-lighting, spacing from a wall, and the overall brightness of the lighting used in a room. For example, using the drape near a wall makes it more opaque than if it's used in front of a window with sunlight shining through. In situations with a lot of bright lighting, you can make help make it more opaque by purchasing an additional drape panel (or two), sold separately in our store. For situations in which the drape must be completely opaque, it is recommended that you use our Commando or Velour fabrics. They are machine washable (gentle cycle, like colors, cold water, mild liquid detergent should be applied to the water prior to placing drape in the machine -- never put concentrated detergent directly into contact with drape as it may alter the color), can be machine dried (air only setting), and ironed (cool setting). NEVER EXPOSE THE DRAPE TO TEMPERATURES ABOVE 140°F. The slip-fit system is designed to be a tremendous time saver for setting up and breaking down your pipe and drape display. The uprights are hollow, allowing them to simply slip over the base pin (included with each base). The drape support rod features steel hooks at each end that slip inside of one of the four slots cut out at the top of the upright. Estimated set-up time varies based on the number of people and the speed at which he or she works, but should average about 5-10 minutes once the boxes are unpacked. The only tool required is a flat head screwdriver to screw the base pin onto the base (a very simple task). Other than that, no tools for assembly are required. What Are Break Apart Uprights? These durable aluminum uprights set the height of your pipe and drape display, and is the vertical piece of pipe that is located at each end of a horizontal drape support rod. Two pieces of pipe work together to make a 10 foot upright in this break apart system. A 6 foot section serves as the bottom of the upright and is put on the base, and a 4 foot 4 inch section serves as the top piece. The 4" portion, located at the bottom of the 4 foot piece, has a slightly smaller diameter and simply slips inside of the top opening of the 6 foot bottom piece, as shown in the listing photo. The break apart upright system satisfies two objectives: one is that it allows the upright to be shipped by Ground service, saving you a lot of money compared to having a fixed (non-break apart) 10 foot upright shipped because any box over 8 feet has to be shipped on a freight truck -- which can be very expensive! Secondly, having a break apart upright makes transportation much easier, as the biggest piece of the upright is only 6 feet long. This will fit in most vehicles, whereas a 10 foot fixed (non-break apart) pipe is virtually impossible to fit, or safely transport, in most cars. Note: Because it consists of two pieces (rather than one solid piece like our fixed uprights), the break apart uprights have a bit more wiggle room compared to our fixed uprights. This degree of wiggle can be significantly minimized by ensuring that the spacing between your uprights and drape support rod is correct when setting up your display.
