They have been removed and when you look closely you can see the threads where they were cut. Overall the pillow is in good condition with no staining. It is more of an olive green and tan color pillow with a red green and tan accent piping around the needle point. The needlepoint is 100% wool. The pillow is dry clean only. I do my best to highlight condition concerns. Please look closely at pictures for details. The item comes from a smoke free home where a cat lives.
