Description: 1940’s German Casige “Toy” Sewing Machine, Art Deco Model 1025, Gerschler M 1470. This size of machine was not a toy as they were designed for children to learn how to sew - perfect size for making their doll clothes. It uses a single thread that produces a chain stitch. It has great art deco designs on all four sides. Measures 8.5” x 5” x 7.25” tall. Condition is good for its ages. Minimal paint loss, surface rust and some pitting. The wheel works smoothly but does not have a needle so I was not able to test it. It does have a presser foot release lever. Definitely does need cleaning. Please view all the photos as they are part of the description and it will be sold “ as is”as I was not able to test it. Nice for display.
