Description: 1955 NASCAR Grand National Martinsville Program, Speedy Thompson/Kiekhaefer Win. The program has been hole punched, and there is writing on the bottom of the cover indicating it was the fall race in 1955. The condition, beyond the obvious, is outstanding. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program. The 42nd race of the 1955 season was held at Martinsville Speedway on October 16th. The 200 lap contest was run before 12,000 fans. Gwyn Staley would start on the pole by drawing for position, a storm washed out qualifying. Speed Thompson, driving his first race for Carl Kiekhaefer, would win this race beating Bob Welborn, Jim Paschal, Herb Thomas, and Jim Reed. Tim Flock led for 66 laps. It was the 14th race in a row that he led a lap. Please review the other racing items I have listed. I will combine shipping and provide a refund on shipping charges for anything over cost. Thanks!
