Description: WELCOME!This is stuff, you want it!Today we have a 1975 OLYMPIA SM-9 Fresh from an estate in Gloucester Massachusetts. Put away forty years ago. Ribbon is dry, the red gives some but the black has had the radish. The shipping weight is TWENTY FOUR POUNDS.As found. Put a sheet in and typed up the typeface, which includes the 'at' symbol. US Standard set of characters. Keys strike fine and once cleaned up and oiled will perform as well as any OLYMPIA, which is among the finest and is what I own myself. The style of the typeface is very German, and would be described as 'gothic' letters. (See last two images)Tom Hanks wouldn't throw it out of bed for snoring. The shift lock works, Bell is nice, Margin guides and Tab work.It is not light. The case has survived.I recommend reading the instructions, oiling and cleaning the works, and a fresh two color ribbon. You needed a new project anyway, so have fun.As it is only nine years younger than me I make no assurances outside of this statement for functionality.This item was made in West Germany, before the reunification.
