The 300D is a classic and has been one of the most reliable cars built in Germany since the inception of Mercedes Benz. The vehicle is well engineered and beautifully designed. The 300D still receive compliments about the styling of the car and its near flawless engineering. What we learned about this specific 300D that relocated from the California residence to a Florida a decade and a half ago , it had a classic car insurance policy for $30k where the insurance paid the claim on it after it arrived to FL. A professional and Intensive engine rebuilding , transmission, diesel pump and calibration. Interior work was performed to restore the vehicle to a pristine condition( including replacement of the. Door trim panels. The vehicle was being driven daily in Miami till a family title dispute arrised from it. The vehicle was moved to an indoor AUTO VAULT LUXURY STORAGE climate controlled facility by Ft Lauderdale airport for 8 years till the family stopped paying the bi annual storage charges. It was then driven and moved to an outside storage site in late Nov 2021. Family dispute over ownership continued and no one was paying the accumulated storage fees.
