The switch plugs into the side of the original Macintosh system case to use as a Reset or for other programming purposes, or simply get it to complete to your early Mac collection! This is hard-to-find original Macintosh item. There was a special space just for it inside the original white plastic Picasso accessory kit box that came with the very first Mac in 1984. Also used in the Mac 512K and other compact Macs. These are hard to find now especially in this condition, as most of these were either thrown out or were broken at some point.
