1999 Jeep Cherokee SE

Description: Up for sale is about the cleanest, most rust free 2 door XJ you’ll ever find in the northeast. This car spent most of its life in South Carolina, hence the rust free condition. I have owned it since 2018. I have done an immense amount of work to restore this Cherokee to proper spec, including the following:New ball joints, tie rod ends, steering damper, front hubs, u joints, plus the front differential rebuilt with new pinion and carrier bearings. Rear axle bearings replaced, driveshaft u joints, bump stops and shocks all around. Brake soft lines all replaced, new pads and rotors up front and shoes and hardware in the rear, fluid flushed. Engine area: installed Chrysler 4 hole injectors, plugs, wires, cap and rotor recently. The entire cooling system is new. Replaced radiator, hoses, water pump, thermostat, coolant overflow tank and new electric fan.Recent alternator, exhaust manifold, exhaust system and catalytic converter with new O2 sensor. Transmission cooler lines and power steering lines replaced. HVAC is all replaced, condenser, compressor, hoses, orifice tube, dryer, and evaporator core plus new heater core and blower motor and resistor. AC blows nice and cold, heat is nice and hot. The vehicle was involved in a minor accident. When parked on the street in front of my house a teen texting hit the rear drivers side. At this time the damaged part of the rear quarter panel was cut out and new metal welded in, and any minor imperfections in the body were smoothed out before a fresh coat of Flame Red was applied to the whole exterior. A new windshield was installed as well at this time. There are no dings, dents or scratches whatsoever, a few stone chips on the front bumper and some suspension components have surface rust on them as is typical for a 25 year old classic vehicle. The interior is spectacularly clean. I installed a new seat foam and seat cover on the driver’s side, and also put in seat heaters in both front seats. I fabricated the controls into the ashtray, and with lid closed it looks 100% stock. All panels, carpets and seats are insanely clean. The original headliner is still in place, has some small “dents” in the foam, but otherwise fine. The driver’s side sun visor has a few small tears, but that’s really the only shortcoming inside. 4WD works great. The 4.0 runs like a top. Recent trip to Massachusetts returned an average of 22MPG.
