Description: Welcome to The Textile Trunk , please follow us on Instagram , we are @textiletrunk What an exciting find~ This wonderful toile de Rouen dates from the first quarter of the 19th century c1820 ~ I discovered a number of pieces of this and one piece ( not this piece) has the chef de piece ( maker's mark) states that it's manufactured by Hartmann et Fils , however I'm unable to find this toile pattern to identify, very very rare indeed. I've never come across this pattern in all of my 25 years ~ I've searched high and low to identify ! ~ This is a cotton fabric, medium weight ~ a RARE collectors Item! ~ I have other pieces of this toile if you're not interested in the maker's mark, simply search my store for " toile de Rouen " MEASUREMENTS : This piece measures 35 inches by 34 inches ~ CONDITION : This piece is in as found condition ~There are rust stains on this piece and a few very small holes ~ not perfect but perfectly wonderful ~ please see photographs for exact details ( reflected in the price ) ~ Inventory : EFF 320
