Description: A complete set of all five Alex Gross heroes villains, and monsters print sets. These sets were released between 2012 and 2014. Each comes with a signed letter by Alex Gross explaining how the prints were made. Most sets come with four prints that all have matching numbers 32 out of 50. And there is one set with the Lord of the rings characters that has five prints. These paintings were based on his cabinet card paintings that were subject of the book Transformations. The originals used to make these prints were painted on top of actual cabinet guards from the 1800s. All prints have been stored in the original boxes since they were released. Some prints show some signs of waviness in the paper. This could be due to the liquid in the ink when they were printed but very likely can be flattened if desired. To the best of my knowledge, not all 50 sets of each were made but we can’t say for sure. Please see photos for details and inquire with any questions. Comes from a smoke free home and have been stored out of sunlight in cool conditions for over a decade.
