Description: Late Victorian Era Art Nouveau 18k Yellow Gold Enameled Necklace with Aquamarine, Diamond & Freshwater Seed Pearls 1880s Aesthetic Movement Here we have a fabulous example of a necklace from the late 1880s in the Art Nouveau style. This necklace is crafted in 18k yellow gold with an enameled pendant section containing one estimated 0.90ctw square cut Aquamarine, and three estimated 0.40-0.50ctw teardrop aquamarines dangling from the elongated pendant. The three teardrop aquamarines are suspended from the main pendant via lightly detailed foxtail dangles. Situated above the main aquamarine is a small round diamond. Accenting the chain of the pendant are four freshwater seed pearls. The pendant section is delicately topped with light bluish green enamel, highlighting the natural blues in the Aquamarine stones. All of the stones are prong set. The necklace completes at the back with a simple spring ring closure. Overall the necklace is in very good condition. The spring ring opens and closes with ease, and the stones are all secure in their settings. A beautiful antique piece, this necklace is ready to wear!
