Identified in the 1921 Pompeian Catalog and the 1921 Catalog of Copyright entries are these #113 Literature Bookends. Sometimes also refered to as "The Scribe", bookends are considered extremely rare, valued at $1200-$1600 for an original first issue pair. Literature Bookends as shown in Pompeian catalogs during the 1930s-1940s were advertised and sold with a cold painted finish. These are first issue c1921 bookends! Measurements: 7" tall, 5-13/16" front to back, 2-1/4" wide. No repairs, but some dings can be found, please enlarge pictures as they will give you a better and more exact picture on Condition.
