Finial ? salvage architectural piece The flower opens and shuts and it attached by a wooden hinge all wood so there is a lot of craftsmanship in the pieceIt measures 14ins by 6ins at the bulb of the flower closed.There is carving that looks like arts and crafts and little bulb style details two of which are missingAs mentioned I do not know where it has come from or what it was attached to.It could be used on its own as a decorative piece or attached and repaired as a project.I`m not sure of the wood but I would guess it looks like oak again I`m not surePlease study the photos and feel free to ask questions
