Description: For sale is a pair of beautiful, antique King Louis XVI French Rattan, Hollywood Regency Gilded Accent/dining Chairs. These chairs are as structurally solid as the day they were made. There is not a single weak joint. the upholstery is stunning with no loose or iron elements. These are not dried out. They could be put into service today as-is. There are a few minor stains on the seats (very small) and could use an overall good cleaning. The metal-spring and strap, cushion support is original and amazing. These extra wide burger-style seats are so, SOOO comfortable. some of the gilding has chipped away. Up to the next owner to have it re-gilded. It is our opinion it isn't necessary. It is just under 37" in height, 22" in width (seat), 19" deep (sitting surface), 15" high (seat rim). The seat rim is 15" but domes up another inch or two for luxurious comfort. These were indoor's kept here in southern California for at least the last 60 years where the mild climate and moderate seasonal swing tends to be more forgiving to the woods, fabrics and upholstery of vintage and antique furniture compared to more weather volatile regions of the United States. We would prefer to have these picked up locally but will ship to the contiguous 48 United States (no service to Hawaii or Alaska unless arranged by buyer). These will be shipped in a substantially sized container which the couriers will define as having a large dimensional weight footprint. With that comes substantial cost, hence the arguably high shipping cost.
