Antique LUCKY BOY Maryland Rye WHISKEY BOTTLE, National Distilleries

Description: You are bidding on antique Lucky Boy Maryland Rye Whiskey with its original paper label. This bottle features the image of a horse with a likely reference to the Preakness and Pimlico. This whiskey was manufactured by National Distilleries Limited in Canada and I have been unable to find a comp for it. Truly, nothing on ebay or Google. It was found at a sale with lots of items from 1900-1910's so a likelihood of 1900-1940. Since National Distilleries imported this from Canada, the possibility exists that it was imported shortly after prohibition ended since whiskey had to age and the US didn't have enough to meet demand. The bottle has images of horses embossed and a man riding a horse on the back with flowers from a win. Highly unusual and perfect for any collection. Condition is very good for age with some slight damage to the paper label on front and back. I use the US Postal Service and use priority mail to ensure quick delivery although size/weight can often be a deterrent due to a balloon fee on boxes over a certain size. Shipping costs are based on weight and distance from my home in Fairhaven, MA. In simplest terms, I ship priority mail unless it is a book (then I ship using media mail) or if the item is bigger than a breadbox or heavier than 5 lbs (unless I can fit it in a flat rate box). I'm also open to local pick-up at my home in Fairhaven. I've been selling on Ebay since 1998 but this is not a full time job.
