Antique Shabby Old French Acanthus Silk Damask Fabric Curtain Panel ~ Pink Gold

Description: I had a wonderful opportunity to acquire some amazing textiles from a house renovation in the Rhone Alpes region of France. All mostly silks & all outstanding quality. A gorgeous French silk damask panel, early 1900 time frame. That perfect softened blushy pink. I am listing two of these in separate listings. Please read my description fully & view all photos as they are in no way pristine but lovely in faded grandeur settings, styling, back drops or salvaged for the good areas. These were found in the attic of this home. Stored away many years ago. Although they are stable due to their construction, there is random degrees of wear, fiber loss inherent of some early silk, and marks. Not cleaned. There are some remaining strong good areas as well & they do style beautifully. They offer good areas for cutting. It’s important to note, the silk isn’t shredding but it is worn with some fiber loss as seen. I feel the right person will definitely enjoy this old relic but by no means for anyone looking for perfection. Far from perfect but perfect for the lover of time spent textiles.
