The IonGen automatic control panel sends signals that slowly dissolve a replaceable, self-cleaning metal probe. This release of metal ions into the water increases the water quality, clarity and helps drastically reduces the need for traditional pond chemicals for string algae. IonGen treats ponds up to 25,000 gallons and costs less than $1 per month in electricity expenses. It can be installed directly into the water feature’s plumbing or hidden underwater, as long as the area has a good amount of water flow, such as in a skimmer. The easy-to-use touch pad provides a simple method for adjusting the amount of ionization, and an electronic indicator automatically signals when the probe needs replacing. The probe typically lasts 1 season but can last up to 3 seasons depending on usage, quantity of water, and water parameters of the water feature. It is recommended to monitor your copper levels in your pond with test strips to keep your fish safe from to much copper in the water.
