This pen appears to have been inked as there is a little ink staining on the piston only. No staining in body or section. Flawless trim. The pen has a minor flaw so keep reading. The pen is nearly flawless. No dents, dings, chips, cracks, scratches, wear or damage EXCEPT if you look very close at the grip section there are tiny internal stress fissures in the grip section acrylic resin. This is common in these and they do not leak, just minor internal stress fissures. If they bother you, you can send it to Aurora for repair but not needed most likely. I let it sit with ink in the section for two weeks and there were no leaks or even ink trapped in the internal fissures. Flawless 18kt medium nib. Exceptional writer!
