Kang's origin story involves time travel from thousands of years into the future where he has taken control of many worlds. He uses his superhuman intellect as well as advanced technology to try to gain control over our current timeline. He also possesses a variety of weapons such as energy blasts and teleportation devices which he uses in his attempt to conquer Earth's present day timeline. Kang has caused numerous problems for the Avengers throughout his history, including attempting to overthrow world leaders and using mind control on members of the group. His power and influence have made him one of the most formidable villains that they have faced off against—especially when combined with his centuries-long experience dealing with matters of conquest. Despite this, Kang has only been able to achieve partial success in his attempts at conquering Earth due to the combined efforts of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes—the Avengers.
