Description: Antique circa 1920's Terracotta Pottery tile attributed to Native American San Ildefonso Pueblo artist Awa Tsireh (1898-1955). Awa Tsireh was also known as alfonso Roybal and Cattail Bird. The relief tile depicts a stylized Thunderbird and the back of the tile is stamped "GEO. P. HEINZ CO. DENVER". A penciled "25" is on the front bottom right. The tile measures approximately 4-3/4 inches square and 5/8 inches thick.
