Description: ABOUT THIS BOX This vintage music box is a beauty! The case is a striking combination of wood and crystal glass. The beveled glass gives a stunning refracted look at the internal brass movement. This box is sure to look great on your shelf and draw compliments! Lift the lid to reveal the 36-note movement. This mechanism is made by the world-renowned Swiss craftspeople of Reuge. The movement is clean and shiny. It winds up smoothly and works perfectly. The music starts and stops (at song end) via the front slider button. The tune is from the mid-century classic movie, Dr Zhivago. “Lara’s Theme” is an all-time favorite and well adapted to play on music boxes. CONDITION The case is in very good condition. The structural condition is perfect. The wood has only minor scuffs. The glass is in terrific shape, with one small hairline scratch. Please see the pictures for beauty of this piece. The musical movement was inspected, appropriately lubricated, and lightly cleaned. It was cycled to ensure that it is working perfectly. The sound is very good. There are NO instances of resonance (buzzes or squawks) that can occur in vintage boxes. The sound is rich, clear, and melodic. I always include a video so there are no unpleasant surprises!
