It was published by Geoffrey Cumberlege, of the Oxford University Press, of London, in 1950 and is the FIRST EDITION of this hard-to-find title. Folktales retold in English from what was relayed to the author by an old Bushman in the Outjo district of South West Africa, featuring Heiseb, a figure in Nama mythology, who had magical powers. The book measures 7.5 inches x 5 inches and has 76 pages (including illustrations). The book is in good, neat condition for its age, with minor wear and is a little faded to the original hardback cover, with a small blemish to the lower margin of page 2 and no other ink or pencil markings in the book.
