CONDITION In the original half calf bindings over marbled boards and edges, new marbled endpapers. Externally sound with some shelf wear and general light rubbing, particularly to the spine. Minor chipping to the head and tail of the spine of the odd volume. Gentle fading to the spine. Undated previous ownership inscription to the verso front free endpaper. Front hinges of 'Nicholas Nickleby' 'David Copperfield' and 'Little Dorrit' slightly strained, holding firm. Internally, generally firmly bound. Light spotting to the edges, only lightly scattered to the odd leaf, although the pages appear generally very clean throughout with some age toning or light browning to the occasional volume, as usual due to the type of paper used. Illustrated with numerous plates. Collated, complete.
