This glove is in great shape and it is totally game ready ! In my opinion this mitt would work very well for a growing boy or for an adult who likes a tight fit glove ! If I were catching today I would have no problem using this mitt ! If you are a gather catching your flame throwing son or if you are a boy catching a flame throwing pitcher this mitt will work ! The mitt can handle high velocity baseballs easily ! The glove is built very well, it is broken in, it is very well padded and it also has an incredible pocket as you can see in the photos as it totally swallows up a baseball ! So once the ball enters the pocket of this glove it is not going to pop out ! Checkout the 4th and the 5th photos how the glove totally wraps itself around a baseball and the 6th photo shows what the glove looks like in the closed position without a ball in the pocket while the 8th photo also shows how the glove wraps itself around a full size 12” round softball ( that’s in case you decided to use this glove for softball ) ! The inner lining is excellent as the glove is extremely comfortable to the hand and the fingers all the way up through the finger stalls ! As far as fitting goes, the glove is a tight fit on my average adult size hand ! The glove does NOT have a Velcro wrist strap but it is tight around the wrist ! So if you have very large hands this mitt may not work for you ! There is no ink or marker anywhere on the glove that I can see ! You will not be disappointed with this glove !
