Thanks!ITEM DESCRIPTION:These American-made Fender Squier Strats are rare; as US made Squires were only available during the 1989-90 build cycle. This ax was built on the 5th of July, 1989 and plays very well. The guitar has various marks from years of playwear, but nothing over the top. Aside from a small fingernail sized ding in the neck (as pictured) it is pretty clean. At some time in the past a previous owner must have had the electronics looked at, as now the tone control for the bridge pickup now operates relative to the middle pickup just like one might find on a true 50's vintage Strat; and this allows for more tonal flexibility because now the tone pot affects in 3 different positions on the 5-way switch verses the typical 2. It's a great idea and I am looking into having the same thing done on my other Strats. Anyway, the guitar has scuffs and typical cosmetic playwear for a 35 year old axe. Ships with trem bar and an old Fender case.
