The mat is made of high quality E-glass strands. This CSM is quick to wet through. It can be torn, avoiding the need for cutting, and is ideal for laminating or molding complex shapes. This Fiberglass Chopped Strand Mat is Folded. It is 36 Inches x 50 Inches long. The strands have a random alignment, giving the fabric an even strength with little or no stretch. Molds made from this fiberglass mat will be equally stiff in all directions. Be sure to work in a well-ventilated area and wear appropriate protective clothing, gloves and mask. Use for "Print Through" barrier between gel coat and woven roving or biaxial. Can be used with epoxy, polyester, surfboard or vinyl ester resins Uniform density ensures consistent fiberglass content and mechanical properties of the composite’s products.
