Description: This is a FINE 19TH C AMERICAN FOLK ART DOCUMENT BOX with WONDERFUL OLD GRAIN PAINT. Unusual FOLK ART piece. That is a hand made heavy duty chest or BOX with hand cut nail construction. THE BOX ITSELF IS ALL ORIGINAL. IT STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL HINGES and Key but MISSING THE HASP. The original GRAIN paint finish shows super patina. There is some minor edge and rim wear as shown in the photos and are added for complete condition disclosure (see photos). It could use a wax which would hide the scratches. The size is wonderful, it measures 21.5” x 11.5” x near 9” tall Typical wear associated with the age of the item. Please see all photos.
