Description: Up for sale is this fine old Chinese scroll painting entitled 87 Fairy Goddesses from Yang Wei - in Chinese “ 八十七神仙图 ” with calligraphy and story of the artist and seal marks throughout. This is after famed Chinese Western artist Hsu Pei Hung’s original piece which is located in a museum in China. Perhaps done by the original master artist’s disciple given the clean and fine detail throughout. Does not look like a print - this looks like it was entirely hand painted with ink. Cannot imagine how many hours it took someone to do this. Very intricate scene and well-known Chinese folklore. Fantastic work of Chinese art from a private Estate Collection. Minor staining in a couple areas but otherwise in great condition. Measures about 15.5 feet long and 11.3” inches tall (472.4 cm, 28.7 cm).
