Description: I have a usual shaped fireplace mantle circa 1890. Lots of quarter sawn Oak. The three small pillars have hand carved acanthus leaves as capitals. The edges are curved and all the carvings are in great shape nice serpentine top over mirror. Overall condition I give this mantle a nine on a scale of one to 10. I have pointed out the little bit of damage that is on this mantle, which is very minimal. I spent five minutes with over-the-counter scratch hider and if it weren’t for the fact that it was 30° I could’ve made this mantle beautiful. Unfortunately, the mirror was missing. I did price a new mirror and to have one cut would cost $150 installed, or just have one made on your end. Overall dimensions are 89”high 64”wide. Opening is 42”wide by 39” high. Mantle shelf is serpentine above three carved brackets. Lots of profiles, just a gorgeous mantle. Mantle will be shipped by private shipper so please allow 3 to 5 weeks for delivery. I will use a base price of $200 which is subject to change due to location. Please ask any and all questions before purchase. We are B&R Salvage of Youngstown Ohio, and have been saving these beautiful pieces of the past for over 30 years.
