How to mount: Use natural cotton or jute twine to tie orchid firmly to mount. Use a small amount of sphagnum moss around the roots until the plant is firmly established on the mount. Phalaenopsis roots tend to grow upward, while cattleya roots tend to grown downward. Mounted orchids need high humidity (over 60 percent) and should be watered often! Rainwater is best. Use extremely diluted fertilizer or organic fertilizer to avoid root burn.
