Stick it in your back pack and hick it in to where you want to begin your search, then puff away and if you get color, then come back later with larger equipment, or if it's too difficult to bring in, then just use it all day and keep dumping the concentrates in a bucket or sack to bring back to pan out! For those of you unfamiliar with a dry washer, you do not use water or moist material with it, the pay dirt must be dry.Both in the desert and around mountainous areas with rivers and creeks, have dry gulches higher up, that is impractical to hike up with larger equipment - but these back-pack sampling machines are perfect for getting up to these areas and locating untapped gold deposits. These units are not easy to make and it usually takes me a couple of weeks on my spare time build them. I have my own that I use, and I do find gold with it! My units are made to look rustic and hand-made like the old-timers made. The main reasons why prospectors (and gold prospecting club members that are on mining claims, and easy to get to areas), have a difficult time finding pay streaks, is because so many people have already hammered it - but these little babies can help you find virgin patches! Also, this unit is not heavy or bulky. It weigh approximately 10 lbs, and when folded in the back pack is only about 5 1/5 inches wide and 18 in long.
