Description: This auction is for an original record store display card sent out by Columbia Records to record stores in 1950 to promote Guy Mitchell's new record on 7 inch (33rpm: 1-918 & 45rpm: 6-918) and 10 inch (78rpm: 39067). The record was "My Heart Cries for You" and "The Roving Kind". This card measures 10" x 10" and is on a thin card stock with a blank back. The display card could be put in store windows, on the wall or elsewhere in the store. Since the card has about 3" blank at the bottom it could also be placed upright in a flat 25-count box of 78s to draw attention to the new single. The display card is in good condition - there is minor wear to the corners and the corners have up to 1" light creases. I bought it from an old record store about 28 years ago (and that record store had been open since the 1940s). (This is a record store display card only - no record is included).
