Description: Up for sale is a handmade solid cherry flag case, or maple or red oak. It will hold a standard 3 foot by 5 foot flag. It is designed to either sit on a desk or table, or to be hung on the wall. All that is needed in able to hang it on your wall would be a standard picture hook, available at any local hardware store. This is made from all locally grown wood, the glass is made locally and I cut it to size. The hardware is made on the west coast, which is as close as I could get them. This is not your imported crap you find at the mass retail stores. This is made to last a life time. The finish is my own secret blend. When my finish is cured, I wax the entire case to give it that velvety feel. The glass is held in by floating panels, which are easy to remove in case the glass is every in need of being replaced; but at the same time the glass is held tight enough to not rattle when moved. This also allows the wood to move with humidity changes and not stress the glass causing it to break. The oak and maple are finished with lacquer. Red oak is dyed a medium dark brown. I take great pride in what I make in my shop. If I would not have one in my home, I would not sell it to you. I have a couple of these in my home displaying my flags. Your American flag deserves a American made flag case. I will my best to pack this safely so to protect the glass. I claim no responsibility for broken glass during shipping. We all know how the post office is, they could care less about the packages they are paid to deliver. I have only had one package arrive with broken pieces, one out of over 100.
