Description: WOW, this is such an amazing piece of art. It truly belongs in a museum. The bracelet is all original dating from the early 1800s. It is crafted from carved natural undyed or treated coral with a steel coil core. The bracelet features a fabulous maiden with a lyre in hand. She almost looks like it could be a serpent with the links. The bracelet features the most incredibly detailed coral carvings that I have seen in a while. I do love a good natural carving especially of coral. The lady is fitted with graduating links of matching coral each one delicately and solid. It is finished with in incredible fish tail..? The lady as well as the links are placed on a steel internal coil. The coil is in extremely good condition with plenty of spring. The bracelet wraps around the wrist. It is just an incredible piece. The condition of this bracelet for its age is absolutely amazing. I do see a couple of nibbles on the inside of a couple of links. I also see a very tiny chip at the top corner of the lyre. Again, This is an incredible work of art that I am very proud to have and offer. It would fit a small to medium sized wrist.
