Description: Japanese Black Lacquer Mother-Of-Pearl Inlay Covered ROUND BOX Size: 8" across x 2.75" HThis was difficult for me to photograph. Inside, it picked up the shadow of the ceiling fan and light was dull. Outside it picked up shadows of the house, sky and tree leaves. Usage: It has been used, not just displayed. May have held candies or biscuits. Perhaps jewelry or something bedside. There are several marks, scratches inside and out, along edges and on bottom a lot of scraping, one small ding in rim of lid, and one deep enough flaw on top that shows white. Tiny but look above the flower and you will see it. The mother of pearl is perfect. Please see all photos, no returns.
