Her collection focused on smaller dolls because their size fit her apartment and their price her wallet. Wanting more and more expensive dolls which she couldn't afford, Jeannie began making reproductions of the antiques. She prides herself in making her dolls look exactly like the antiques by using vintage fabrics and trims and authentic reproductions of the original painting. This Bru Shandele reproduction is a copy of one of the first antiques she purchased and is typical of the many sweet faced babies designed by the House of Bru.Jeannie has published many articles on painting and dressing reproductions of small antique dolls in "The Doll Reader magazine. She also published a continuing series, "little Mamas, in the Doll Reader featuring photographs from her extensive collection of antique photographs of children with their dolls. Her reproductions of antique dolls have won blue ribbons in judged doll shows all over the country.
