Description: This is a typed letter that is signed (TLS) by former president, John F Kennedy. The letter was typed on White House stationary and is dated April 13, 1961. The letter is to congressman, John E Moss, who was in the US House of Representatives from California. JFK crossed out the word congressman on the salutation and hand wrote John in addition to signing his name as John Kennedy. So this letter has his first name twice on it and his handwriting. Finding an authentic, John Kennedy signed letter is very difficult as his secretary would sign his name the majority of the time. Also making this more rare and valuable as the fact that it is signed on White House stationary. Since President Kennedy was only in the White House for 2 1/2 years, finding his autograph on White House stationary is even harder than most presidents. This letter is signed on Whitings White House stationary and measures 7“ x 9“. The autograph and writing was done in a black steel tip fountain pen. The letter features a crease in the middle where it was folded and put into an envelope for mailing. This John F. Kennedy signed letter has been examined by James Spence Authentication and it has been deemed as an authentic, personally hand signed autograph from President Kennedy. A letter of authenticity accompanies the TLS and shows all the information regarding the TLS on the LOA. The LOA also notes that the handwriting of the name John in the salutation is also penned in the hand of President Kennedy.
