Lattarulla Fig

Description: 'Lattarulla' Fig The Lattarulla Fig is originally from the eastern Mediterranean region. It is also know as Italian Honey Fig. This is a hardy Fig that produces large yellowish-green fruit with a sweet, light amber flesh. It can bear two crops per growing season. One that ripens in mid to late July and another that ripens in mid September. It can freeze down to the ground and still come back and bear fruit the next season. The Lattarulla Fig is the most reliable Fig for cool summer areas with a short growing season. Figs can also be grown indoors as a house plant.   Height: 8'-10', but can be kept smaller with some pruning. Minimum temperature: Hardy to 0ºf to 5ºf. USDA zone: 7-9. Find your zone . Light: Full sun to part sun. Fruit: Yellowish-green fruit with sweet, light amber flesh. Bearing age: 1-2 years. 10-15 lbs per plant. Pollination requirements None. It is self fertile. Ripens: First crop in late July, the second crop in mid September The last photo is an example of a #1 (1 gallon)  Lattarulla Fig, however, it is not the exact plant that you will receive. Your plant will be approximately 1-2 years old and 3'-4' tall.
