The optics feature new made in-house elements infused with fluorite elements, and an extra-low dispersion (ED) glass element improves edge-to-edge rendering performance, dispersion, and distortion. The lens is optimized for digital sensors, eliminating the red-fringing phenomenon that occurred on the original Nine Element. The lens retains the classic body aesthetic with a classic focus tab and infinity lock, and is made with brass alloy construction. Lenses are made by hand and assembled in limited quantities at the highest quality control and tolerance.
