Aventurine Goldstone was invented in Venice in the 1600s. This micromosaic dates to the 1800s. I have set this antique micromosaic in a newly fabricated sterling silver (.925) setting with decorative bezel and floral patterned band. The ring is roughly a size 8.5 USA (see photos of ring on mandrel). The top of the ring measures roughly 29.65 mm wide x 24.25 mm x 4.46 mm tall . There are minimal to no missing tesserae in the mosaic (the small handmade glass tiles) with scratching present on the goldstone top.
