Description: Original type B2 Matchbox by Moko Lesney box for the 42a Bedford Model CA Evening News Van, the 42a model for which was first issued in 1957 and deleted in 1964. This box is likely produced sometime in late 1956. These early B2 type boxes were produced for Moko Lesney by either Pembroke Abbey or Bowater Scott printers (no logo on these tabs) for only a relatively brief time and are coveted by collectors, especially in this pristine condition.
