With traces of rust, to leave them natural & authentic, Buffed clean then coated with matt lacquer. These nails will give a nice warm farmhouse finish to your furniture.their length make them useful for hanging cups, mugs, pans, pots, utensils etc. They can be welded to a back plate or hammered into a piece of wood, as a combination between a shelf with hooks, as in attached photo. If you want to use them as hooks, make a thin hole in the wood, put glue in it & then hammer the nail so it will hold strong.
