Description: National Geographic 1947 - 2 volumes (Jan-June and July-December) Bound magazines. Volume XCII, 1-12 The second volume contains the December map (on a page) labelled "Palestine," before it became Israel, (See photo) which is desired by some collectors. The lettering on the spine is much faded. (Please see photo). That appears to be its only serious flaw. There are no pull-out maps or inserts in bound volumes. There are online sellers asking over $400 for just the 1947 December issue.
