Possibly red oak or cherry. Circa approximately 1950s-1980s APPROXIMATE MEASUREMENTS: Height (Floor to top of backrest): 35" Footprint of angled legs: 21" x 21" Seat Height from floor: 17.25" Seat 17" W x 16" D Vintage preowned item has surface patina of age and use with scratches and scuffs on seat and wear to the finish throughout. Legs have older, self-leveling metal feet with felt pads attached to bottoms. NOTE: One leg has a tight, stiff crack / split, attributed to age and use. It starts at the bottom/foot and goes up approximately 4”. It is hard/stiff and does not move or close when squeezed with a clamp. Not noticeable unless looking for it and doesn’t detract from function or beauty. The chair is still sturdy despite this.
