NRFB Vintage 1989 TALKING BEETLEJUICE 16" FIGURE DOLL from ORIGINAL COLLECTOR

Description: Joyful nostalgia for beloved Beetlejuice, Michael Keaton, and Tim Burton movie fans and collectors! This original, first edition, vintage 80s Beetlejuice talking doll has NEVER been REMOVED FROM BOX (NRFB). Produced by Kenner, the 16-inch doll/figure features a classic 80s voice box, which enables the doll to talk when you pull the attached string. It also has a spinning-head feature. Original, mint-in-box (MIB) condition. I personally got this 1989 doll in 1990 to add to a celebrity/movie doll collection, after seeing Michael Keaton in Tim Burton's original 1988 fantasy comedy Beetlejuice movie for the first time. The film also starred, then 16-year-old, Winona Ryder, plus friendly newlywed ghosts played by Alec Baldwin and Geena Davis. Who knew it would be 36 years before a sequel was released?! TALKING FEATURE: To make this Beetlejuice doll talk, simply pull the black, snake-shaped pull-string tab on the back of the doll. No batteries required! You can watch the video I've included to see how it's done, and to hear 2 of the 6 phrases spoken by this talking figure. The 6 phrases the doll says include: 1) "I’m The Ghost With The Most!" 2) "It’s SHOWtime!" 3) "Whoa! Almost Lost My Head!" 4) "Can I Be Scary Or What?!" 5) "It’s Really Dead Around Here! " 6) "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!" (Sometimes individual phrases are said more than once in a row.) SPINNING HEAD FEATURE: To make Beetlejuice's head spin, the doll box instructions say to first turn the head towards Beetlejuice's right arm in 3 complete circles; then, press the button on the doll's upper back (which can be felt through the fabric), and watch its head spin. Please note that I am unable to test this feature without removing the doll from the box and cutting its original attachments; so, to keep the NRFB status for this doll, I cannot verify whether or not the head-spinning function works. Purchase is "as is". DOLL BODY: The doll's body is "stuffed with 100% polyester". Doll head, hands (and likely feet) appear to be made of plastic. Care instructions on box say, "Surface washable only. Do not dry clean." BOX TAPE & SMALL BOX DENTS: You'll notice from the photos that the tape on the box has yellowed with age. PLEASE NOTE: **Although the photos appear to show tape on the top of the box, this tape on top has since fallen off. (None of the illustration beneath the tape was ripped off.) The tape shown on bottom of the box is still present, as shown in the photos.** There are also some small dents at the corners of the box, as pictured, and some wear along some of the box edges, also pictured. BOX FRONT: The clear plastic covering on the front of the box is still attached to the box frame, but appears to be coming off a bit on part of the right side and bottom (about 1-2 inches in each area). This is difficult to see in the pictures, as it was hard to photograph. OVERALL GREAT VINTAGE CONDITION.
