This may save you the hassle of having to return the motor. This is a very high torque single shaft round can motor, it is designed for cordless drill service. The motor has a 5 pole armature, carbon brushes and brass bearings. The motor is 38mm long and 28mm in diameter, the motor shaft is 13mm long and it is 2.3mm in diameter. There are 2 mounting holes on the front of the motor that are tapped for 2.6mm screws, the mounting holes are spaced 18mm apart. There are 2 solder terminals on the rear of the motor for electrical connections. Both motor terminals are isolated from the case of the motor. At 12 volts DC with no load, this motor draws 170ma and develops 9300 rpm, the stall current is 2.7 amps. This motor is DCC compatible with a high current decoder. Hook up wire and mounting screws are included with the motor. This motor can be used to replace the factory motor in some models of Williams and Weaver O scale locomotives.
