Description: Aromatic Hawaiian Japanese Cedar / SUGI Pine Block Bowl Turning Harvested from a storm downed Sugi tree in Mountain View, Big Island of Hawaii in December 2024, these blocks are green, will dry over time. The color will darken, very pretty to see. Malleable, good for beginning bowl makers. Approximate Measurements 10 3/4" long5 2/3" wide3 1/4" to 3 1/3" thick Condition: Not completely dry yet. As the piece dries it emits a type of pitch (not sticky). Starts as white chalky substance, turns black. This may or may not happen. It is harmless, topical, but messy when I try to wipe off. Pictured with and without water spritzing. Very aromatic! The room fills up with the scent of Sugi! Spritzed with water for pics.~~~~~~ ~ Aloha ~
