Rare1990 Gibson Firebird V Celebrity Series in excellent condition, original condition and in perfect working order, complete with the original hardshell case. A limited edition model with only '200' instruments produced worldwide, the Celebrity Series of the Firebird V is visually and sonically unique, featuring an ebony fingerboard, gold hardware, a white original "Celebrity" pickguard which is NOT SHOWN 'But, it is Included' and in Outstanding Excellent Condition! - I installed a Black pickguard that looks awesome - limited edition top hat headstock silkscreen, I also installed a set of Black & Gold reflector cap knobs, original is white knobs which ONE is included & 3 other white & gold knobs I don't need, the black ones i installed look at home - if you wish to re-install the original parts in 5 minutes! The tone is bad azz rich and full, with plenty of midrange bite and authority, paired with the smooth warmth of the mahogany body construction and the glassy treble detail of the ebony fingerboard. This Firebird has ample sustain and a strong acoustic resonance that translates well through the pickups. Weighing 8lbs. 5oz , this Gibson has been professionally set up with 9-42 strings and spot-on intonation. The mahogany neck has a slender C-shaped profile with full shoulders in every register, On the bound ebony fretboard, the stock frets have well-rounded crowns and plenty of meat, showing virtually no wear. The guitar plays easily up the 24 3/4" scale with a straight neck and responsive, optimally adjusted truss rod. The nut measures 1 11/16" in width, and the headstock sports the original set of gold banjo tuners which turn very smoothly, hold pitch well, and are a vintage-correct option no longer available on current standard line Gibson Firebird models. On the body, all of the electronics are stock and work as they should, with individual Volume and Tone controls for each pickup and black & gold reflector cap knobs. The pickups have patent number baseplates, and the solder joints on the wiring harness are untouched, There is a slight patina on the gold bridge edge, showing almost no wear through the plating on the neck pickup cover and tuner buttons. The graphics on the pickguard are pretty much flawless. Beautiful Nitro lacquer gloss finish is 100% original with no touch ups, There is only (1) one light 1/4"-1/2" minor scratch and very small mark almost exclusively relegated to the corner edge in front area, you can hardly find the ONE minor scratch!. The nitro gloss on the neck profile is extremely beautiful, clean and smooth, no dents/dings, no scratches on the neck!.
