Description: This card is from the 1963 Post Cereal collection of Canadian football. It has been stored in a non-smoking environment for almost 60 years. This card appears to be in excellent condition — see the scan of the front for any flaws — although I am no expert on grading sports cards. It is handcut. These cards were once glued into an album, from which they have been carefully removed. To preserve the condition of the card fronts, in many cases they were cut from the album, leaving a variety of “backings” that generally make the card firmer. The last two scans with this card are samples of what the back may look like — the backs were simple, unmarked cardboard before they were put into the album. A card in mint condition would have a thin, dark blue border outside the white border. Use that as a guide when judging the condition of the edges; if you see a black border, that was part of the album page and it has been cut there to protect the condition of the card, and to leave any further trimming in the hands of the buyer.
